Fashion Spotlight ::

Celebrity Last Week:

With ‘Notebook’, Roma made the audience sit up and take notice of her brand of films. The movie opened for critical and commercial acclaim for her. From modelling to Malluwood was a short journey for her, and Roma ruled the roost in 2007 with her biggest hit, ‘Chocolate’ paired with Prithviraj which is a definite turning point in her career. Sensations team met Roma while shooting for an ad-film and with lot of enthu and energy this chirpy, chubby and bubbly gal gave her valuable few moments for us.

Style quotient :

Roma was simple yet stylish for the ad-film. First she wore a white feminine top pairing a white long skirt. Then for the photo shoot session she wore a beautiful feminine plumish chocolate coloured top with gathering and matching sequence work of floral designs paired up with beige coloured long skirt. Then while giving us her interview Roma was just in her casual ensemble of a sleeveless top with sequence work paired up with blue jeans which she claims to be her all-time favourite clothing.

Make up:

Make-up was just kept simple for the two costumes of the ad-film-pink blush and eye-shadow was just puffed which was of-course more than enough for her glowing fair complexion. And to match up to it, pink gloss was applied to her lips to enhance her cute and chirpy smile. Well that was apparently for the white costume and for the second costume they gave her a matching but simple make up with just foundation for her face and matching brown eye-shadow for eyes and a little bit of a varied shade of pink gloss. For both the costumes the kajal was used as a must have make-up. And there she was perfectly done for the ad-film. But when the time came for her interview session with us, she was just in her natural look with just kajal lined for eyes and a pink gloss adorning her cute smile which we all love about her, isn’t it…sure it is..

Hair-style:

Hairstyle she had just kept very simple by just letting her hair down and just few strands of hair taken from side and tied as a braid at the back, for the shoot. And for our interview session she had just left hair loose with clean partition at center in which she was just what we can call as ‘charming’.

Accessories:

As an accessory she had just kept it simple wearing just white stone studded earrings.

COMMENT BY CELEBRITY ABOUT SENSATIONS:

Sensations is a very motivating programme. It has the quality to inspire and it’s a good platform for young talent. It shows all your talent, skills and everything. They are giving a platform for young talents and for new-comers. So in that case we must thank Surya-tv for bringing a programme like Sensations, so that it gives all of us a chance to portray our talent.

ADVICE FOR YOUNG TALENTS WHO WANT TO ENTER THE ENTERTAINMENT INDUSTRY:

It is not necessary to be extro-thin or extro-slim to be a success. So please don’t diet; please don’t starve; please don’t do anything that has to loose your real personality. This is an experience from my thing, when I loose a lot of weight then everyone says, ‘oh Roma your personality is gone, your cuteness is gone, your bubbliness is gone.” S o for certain people certain kind of personality suits. So for example; I shouldn’t try to be as thin as you know, say Aishwarya –Rai or so. So like that everybody has a different personality. So when that personality suits her, this personality suits me. So you have a separate personality and identity. So you should maintain your personality and identity. Don’t try to be somebody else, don’t try to loose weight and spoil your health by dieting. Because right now it’s a big craze out there, to remain thin and slim. Yes, you must exercise, you must be fit. But you must not diet or starve to become extro-thin. Then we’ll loose the charm and glow on our face. So don’t just diet and don’t starve, be as you are. Create your own personality and create your own identity.

STYLE FILE OF ROMA:

FASHION SENSE OF ROMA: “Beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder. I believe in Fashion, but just to an extend. I don’t think Fashion is what is now in trend. For example, it will be told that now Anarkali style is in Fashion. I don’t believe in today’s Fashion or yesterday’s Fashion or timely Fashion period. For me, Fashion is something in which you are comfortable in. Comfort is Fashion. If I am comfortable wearing what I have worn right now and I am feeling good, confident and self esteemed in my heart; for me that is Fashion. In that way, whatever you are comfortable in, whatever you can carry off as a personality as an individual identity, that is fashion to me.”

FETISH FOR ACCESSORIES: My favourite accessories right now are handbags and shoes. Wherever I go, oh I just wana check that out. Clothes used to be a weakness for me. But now I’m not really excited about clothes. But handbags and shoes, I just love them… Wherever I go, I only look at bags and shoes. Now I have a huge collection, only of bags and shoes itself. And so my amma tells me, “enough now. Buy some other accessories like belts or something else”. But I’m just freaking on with handbags and shoes. So right now my hot accessory in my wardrobe is footwear and handbags.

FAVOURITE COLOUR: My favourite colour right now is yellow. I love yellow because I think it’s a very lively colour. It just brightens up your mood. When you look at yellow you feel happy. Yellow symbolises happiness for me. So for me yellow is my favourite colour.

FASHION MUST HAVES: Well I don’t have any favourite or must-have costume as such. I become moody, like sometimes I feel that ah today I should dress up really like a South Indian/Tamilian, so I would wear an ethnic salwar kameez. But tomorrow immediately I might need a different look, so I would just pull over my jeans and t-shirt. So for me right now there is nothing such as favourite costume because everyday I like to have a different look. Maybe, tomorrow it will be only saree, then day-after-tomorrow I might just wear skirt and top. Like that everyday it’s different for me. I like to give different look everyday. So I don’t have anything in favourite costume types as of now.

HER BEAUTY SECRET: I think being happy always is a beauty secret. If you are happy inside in your heart, that reflects on your face. How much ever you do external beauty treatment or apply facepacks or anything; whatever it is, it’s coming from internal. So if we remain happy, peaceful and satisfied and maintain a peaceful heart; that will automatically reflect on your face. So then your real beauty from your inner heart comes out on your face.
